LOGOS

Sababa Camp Logos, Adobe Illustrator

I made these logos for Sababa, a sleep-away beach camp in Virginia. Sababa allows for more freedom in their branding since they were their own brand that was then acquired by Commonpoint. Therefore, despite using a fun font on the left, I made sure to also use Commonpoint's light blue color to tie Sababa into their brand. The logo on the right was another idea that I pitched because I noticed as I was designing that the tip of the wave could easily flow into the thumb of the shaka. Ultimately, they loved the version on the left, and it will move forward as Sababa's new logo!

Podcast Cover, Adobe Photoshop

I was commissioned to make this cover for two political science professors who are launching a podcast about migration, displacement, and exile in New York City. They wanted it to weave in images of the city, and from their countries of origin—Iran and Lebanon. Therefore, I blended this iconic view of the Empire State Building with the Mediterranean Sea, framing it with a Persian arch. The NYC subway sign with their initials is a fun final touch.

T-Shirt Design, Canva

This design was created for the Fordham English Department. They didn't have many guidelines, so I picked this phrase that I liked and paired it with a simple graphic of a book's pages, making sure to include Fordham's maroon color as well.

POSTERS

Illustrated NYBG promotional poster, Adobe Illustrator

These graphics were made entirely on Illustrator. I spent hours layering different brushes, patterns, and gradients to make the images look as realistic as possible.

Album Cover, Adobe Photoshop

This is a hypothetical cover for Bad Bunny's next album, which is in conversation with his previous songs, album covers, and activism against the gentrification of Puerto Rico. "Todavia Estamos Aqui" is a version of the phrase "Seguimos Aqui," which means "We're Still Here." It conveys a widely-used sentiment of Puerto Rican resilience and is also the name of an immersive exhibit in Puerto Rico, curated by Bad Bunny.

Collages based on Maholy-Nagy's TypophoTo, Adobe Photoshop

I created a base collage and then experimented with various effects and hierarchies to create different versions of it. I wanted to make something that highlighted how the rise of innovation and technology tends to disrupt nature. As artists, scientists, and politicians of the future, we must discover new ways of innovating that harmonize with the Earth, not destroy it. In the last collage I included a quote from Maholy-Nagy's text: "Men still kill one another, they have not yet understood how they live, why they live; politicians fail to understand that the earth is an entity..."

Poster of Influence, Adobe Illustrator

This aim of this assignment was to convince people to take action of some sort. While navigating a sensitive subject, this poster focuses on the issue at hand and offers a solution: This $21.7 B of taxpayer money should be put towards funding American education, healthcare, and infrastructure instead of its current allocation towards destructive external affairs. It evokes pathos by addressing the audience directly and emphasizing the importance of "care."

Shape-Based Music Posters, Adobe InDesign

For this project, we used only a handful of shapes including a square, a circle, a triangle, a rectangle, and a semi-circle. Using these shapes, we had to create a dynamic poster that described what the song felt and sounded like to us.

Spirit Week Flyer for Commonpoint, Canva

ESOL Branded Flyer for Commonpoint, Canva

Interactive EPUB, Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, & Premiere Pro

This is my final project for my Digital Production class, which focused on utilizing interactive elements in Indesign such as buttons, animations, and object states to create a dynamic digital publication. We also embedded an interview,  which we recorded and edited with B-roll. Feel free to click around and interact with this project!

Instagram Posts, Canva

I have been attending Rockatar Music Academy since I was ten years old, so I am very familiar with the school's culture and values. I studied their website in order to gather key words and catchphrases that I noticed were important to this business, such as "Reaching your greatest potential." I then created a color palette, picked fonts, and wrote captions that aligned with the company's existing brand image, but gave it a fresh and vibrant look. Now, when this local music school wants to expand in the future, it has ready-to-post content for Instagram.

Website Prototype, Figma

For this project, we had to identify a problem and create a solution for a community we had insight on. I decided to create a social networking platform for entry-level creatives to connect with professionals in their industry. This would help artists get their foot in the door of a competitive job market and make meaningful connections with mentors. Click here to view my prototype on Figma!

Yearbook Layouts, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

As Co Editor-in-Chief of The 2021-2022 Buccaneer, we created an original theme and style guide which we implemented to create a cohesive book. The theme was "Like Never Before," so we focused on creating a vibrant book that emphasized the ways in which our community evolved after Covid-19 to come back even stronger than before. This was the largest project I have yet to oversee. It came out to a whopping 480 pages, the largest yearbook in Berkeley Preparatory School history.
